Encounters of the "rad" kind that I feel everyone who has cool taste should know about.

Steve, Don't Eat It!

A man dabbles in fear-factorish feats as he nibbles on things that ought not be nibbled on.

Save the Nipple!

Thanks to Becky for alerting me to The Nipple Project.

Ummm...Duck Tape?

Wandering around the internet today I found some crazy prom-goers entering a new fangled competition:Stuck at Prom. I can't believe how awesome these entries were...but wonder if all the time and energy (that their moms probably put into it) was worth 3 grand. I hope they gave their seamstress a cut of the winnings. While you're there, check out the link to the Duck Tape Club. What?

For EVERY occasion...

Other Announcements has announcement cards for every occasion. I'm laughing so hard that I can't even write anything more about it. Just go look. It's too much. I'm almost wishing I was so superficial that I wanted a nose or boob job...just to send out some announcements.

Dead to Me.

Thanks to Mindy for this find: snubster.com, an online community that allows you to make lists of people (or things) that are "dead to you" and send them an email (when possible) letting them know. If they have only irriated you slightly, you can send them a notice. That cracks me up.

Where's George?

Most of you have probably already heard of this site, but it's been a number of years since it was popular and I'd like to bring it back. I got a "Where's George" dollar bill the other day and was eager to type in the serial number to see where it's been. Unfortunately mine has only been logged once before, in 2005 in Pennsylvania...but I registered and plan on tracking the bill and any other ones I remember to punch in. You should too! What fun!

Fabulous Fabrics

For the crafters, check out these fabulous fabrics. I have no idea how to sew, but I want to learn just so I can make something with these patterns.

I think I have a thing for magnets

I love this picture and it makes me want to get a big metal E to put stuff on with magnets. I'm not quite sure if I just love the picture and want pink walls, or if it's the idea of a giant letter in my office...but I think it's cool regardless. A bit pricey to just pick up for fun (I think it's 80 bucks for the size shown, but they have smaller ones for cheaper), but would definitely make a rad gift.

Sweet Tooth

I've been getting some random lady's Better Homes and Garden magazine at my new address. I'm diggin' on it because there are some great recipes and ideas in there (never thought I'd see the day when I'd choose recipes and arts and crafts over beauty tips and the latest fashion). At any rate, ran across this wonderful idea while thumbing through it. Sort of expensive, but would make a great gift. I'd love to print some that say "Sorry you hate your life" and give it to the bitchy women at work.

Funky Photoshop

Jason Gaylor has got it goin' on. I stumbled upon his link at dooce.com today and immediately downloaded his "fresh foliage brushes" for photoshop. Those of you who know me are blatently aware that I'm not a graphic designer by any means and only dabble in creativity, but I was able to make the above picture in the first 10 minutes of downloading the brushes. Awesome. I'm all about the brushes he created and have a billion plans in my head for ways I could utilize them (ahem, wedding invitations anyone?). Thanks to Jason for being so creative and generous. Check his site out.

Beekee's Pick

Becky left a comment that she wants a pink hand chair. In browsing the site trying to find what she was talking about, I came across some other goodies that cracked me up. My parents are coming to visit next weekend and I would love to have one of these in the guest bathroom. Also, this reminds me of my sophomore year of college when my roomate Laura and I traced our bodies on the living room rug with masking tape--a wonderful conversation piece at any gathering!

Blik Update

I got my Blik wall decorations in the mail yesterday!! They are seriously the coolest thing ever. They are a tad expensive...it was 50 bucks for the birds, but they go on easily and look fantastic. They are just what this room needed to liven things up. Since we are at the beginning of a year lease, and may be here even longer than that, I felt it was worth it to splurge a little. I want them all over the house!! I am very pleased with this purchase. You can get your own here.
